Garbage Bin Cleaning — Terms & Conditions

By scheduling or purchasing garbage bin cleaning services from Smarch Sanitation Solutions, the customer agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Services

Smarch Sanitation Solutions provides garbage and recycling bin cleaning and sanitizing services. Services may include pressure washing, cleaning, deodorizing, and sanitizing of residential or commercial bins.

Cleaning is intended to remove dirt, food residue, grease, odors, and other common buildup. Some permanent stains, discoloration, rust, paint, stickers, or damage may not be completely removable.

2. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Have the bin(s) accessible and reasonably free of excessive debris before the scheduled cleaning.

  • Remove most garbage, recycling, or other contents from the bin before service unless otherwise agreed.

  • Ensure the bin is located in an accessible area on the scheduled service date.

  • Inform Smarch Sanitation Solutions of any known damage or existing defects to the bin before service.

  • Customers are responsible for providing access to an outdoor water source and electrical outlet at the service location when required to perform the cleaning service.

If a bin cannot be accessed because it is behind a locked gate, inside a garage, blocked by a vehicle, or otherwise inaccessible, the service may need to be rescheduled.

3. Pricing & Payment

Customers agree to pay the price provided at the time of booking or service.

Payment is due upon completion of service unless another payment arrangement has been agreed upon in advance.

Smarch Sanitation Solutions reserves the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Recurring customers will be notified of any pricing changes before the new price takes effect.

4. Recurring Services

Customers who sign up for recurring cleaning services authorize Smarch Sanitation Solutions to provide service according to the agreed-upon schedule.

Recurring services may continue until canceled by the customer or Smarch Sanitation Solutions.

Any service that has already been completed remains payable.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Customers should provide reasonable notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.

Smarch Sanitation Solutions may charge a cancellation or missed-service fee when a customer repeatedly cancels at the last minute or fails to provide access to the bin.

No cancellation fee will be charged when Smarch Sanitation Solutions cancels or reschedules due to unsafe weather or other circumstances outside of the customer's control.

6. Weather & Service Conditions

Cleaning services may be postponed due to severe weather, freezing temperatures, unsafe conditions, equipment problems, or circumstances that could prevent the service from being performed safely.

Smarch Sanitation Solutions will make reasonable efforts to reschedule postponed services as soon as practical.

7. Water & Drainage

Smarch Sanitation Solutions may use water and cleaning products as reasonably necessary to perform the service.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the service location allows for appropriate drainage and does not create a risk of damage to surrounding property.

Smarch Sanitation Solutions will make reasonable efforts to minimize water runoff and keep the service area reasonably clean.

8. Cleaning Products

Smarch Sanitation Solutions may use soaps, sanitizers, deodorizing products, and other cleaning agents appropriate for garbage bin cleaning.

Customers must inform Smarch Sanitation Solutions before service of any known allergies, chemical sensitivities, or restrictions regarding cleaning products.

9. Existing Damage

Smarch Sanitation Solutions is not responsible for pre-existing damage, defects, cracks, broken wheels, damaged lids, weakened plastic, missing parts, or other conditions that existed before cleaning.

Cleaning may reveal existing damage that was not previously noticeable.

If a bin is already damaged or appears likely to break during cleaning, Smarch Sanitation Solutions may refuse to clean it or may require customer approval before proceeding.

10. Damage Caused During Service

Smarch Sanitation Solutions will use reasonable care when handling and cleaning bins.

If Smarch Sanitation Solutions directly causes damage to a customer's bin through negligence or improper handling, the customer should notify the business as soon as reasonably possible so the matter can be reviewed and resolved appropriately.

11. Personal Property

Customers should remove personal property, loose objects, or valuables from the bin before service.

Smarch Sanitation Solutions is not responsible for items accidentally placed inside a garbage or recycling bin by the customer.

12. Odors & Stains

Cleaning and deodorizing can significantly reduce unpleasant odors and buildup; however, Smarch Sanitation Solutions does not guarantee that all odors, stains, bacteria, mold, or residue will be completely eliminated.

Certain odors or stains may be absorbed into the plastic and may remain after cleaning.

13. Service Satisfaction

If a customer is dissatisfied with the cleaning, they should contact Smarch Sanitation Solutions within 48 hours of service.

Smarch Sanitation Solutions may, at its discretion, offer a re-cleaning or other reasonable solution when appropriate.

14. Photos & Marketing

By agreeing with the Terms and Conditions, Smarch Sanitation Solutions may take before-and-after photographs of cleaned bins for business purposes, including advertising, social media, and the company website.

Customer names, addresses, or other identifying information will not be publicly shared without permission.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Smarch Sanitation Solutions will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of its services.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to waive rights or protections that cannot legally be waived.

16. Right to Refuse Service

Smarch Sanitation Solutions reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service when:

  • A bin is excessively damaged or unsafe to handle.

  • The contents of the bin create an unreasonable health or safety risk.

  • The service location is unsafe.

  • The customer engages in threatening, abusive, or inappropriate behavior.

  • The requested service cannot reasonably be performed with the available equipment.

17. Changes to These Terms

Smarch Sanitation Solutions may update these Terms & Conditions when necessary. Customers will be notified of significant changes when reasonably practical.

18. Customer Agreement

By scheduling, purchasing, or accepting garbage bin cleaning services from Smarch Sanitation Solutions, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
